Show mode
The strip, turning pages, the dark page and show notes.
Show mode and the strip
- Show mode, top right, is for running the show.
- It is locked. Nothing on the page can be moved, changed or deleted. The screen stays awake.
- The strip names the cues on this page. Standby is the next cue after the page turn, with its note and page.
Turning pages
- Turn the page by tapping either side, by swiping, or with a Bluetooth pedal.
- A tap anywhere in the outer fifth of the screen turns the page.
- Pair a pedal in the iPad's Bluetooth settings. Any pedal that sends arrow keys, Page Up and Page Down, or space will work.
- With Half-page turns on in Settings, the first turn brings in the top half of the next page above an orange line. The second turn finishes it. A turn back cancels it.
- Pinch to zoom. Fit puts the page back.
Dark page, Dim and leaving
- Dark page in Show mode, also in Settings, is for a dark booth. The script goes light on dark. Cues and tags keep their colours.
- Dim darkens the whole screen.
- To leave, press and hold Hold to exit.
Show notes
- In Show mode, tap Note in the strip.
- The Pencil now writes on the page in red. A finger still turns pages.
- Strokes on one page within six seconds of each other are one note.
- These are notes, not ink. Erase, and Undo, leave them alone.
- Afterwards, open Notes in the side panel. Each one shows its words, page and song. Tap to go there.
- QPlot reads the writing. Tap the scribble button on a row to see it as you wrote it.
- Tick a note once it is dealt with. It leaves the page and drops under Done. Untick to put it back.
Tips for a live show
- For bigger cue stamps, set Cue size in Settings.
- Tags as dots keep the page clear. Tap a dot to read its name. It shuts after five seconds.
- Do Not Disturb is yours to switch on.
- If the strip reads Not saving, the iPad is out of space. Free some.
- Arrow keys and page keys also turn pages while plotting.
