Cues
Placing, numbering, editing and moving cues. Follow-on cues. The Cues list.
Placing and numbering
- Desk, SFX and LX cues all work the same way. The steps below use a desk cue.
- Pick the cue tool and tap the page with the Pencil where the cue happens.
- Each new cue takes the next number, in script order.
- Each kind of cue has its own numbers, shape and colour.
- Place one between SND2 and SND3 and it becomes SND2.1. Nothing else renumbers.
Editing, renumbering, moving and deleting
- Tap a cue to open it. Change the number or type a note.
- Renumber from here turns this cue and every later one into whole numbers. It lists each change before you tap Renumber.
- Drag a cue to move it. Its number stays.
- To delete a cue, open it and tap Delete. Or pick Erase and tap the cue. Either way QPlot asks, and nothing renumbers.
Follow-on cues
- A follow-on runs from one cue to a later one. Open the first cue, switch on Follow on and type the last cue.
- Cues in between are deleted. QPlot names them and asks first. Undo brings them back.
- An arrow joins the two. Move either end and the arrow follows.
- If the last cue is on another page, the arrow runs off the edge, labelled with the cue and its page. It comes in at the top of that page.
- If the last cue is not in the script yet, QPlot puts it beside the first. Drag it to its place.
- Switch Follow on off and the arrow goes. Both cues stay.
The Cues list
- The Cues list in the side panel has every cue by kind, with its note and page. A follow-on reads SND2 to 4. Tap a row to go to the cue.
- Once two departments have cues, a filter appears: All, Audio, LX.
